-
I operate as a private pay practice and do not accept insurance. However, I can provide a superbill for potential reimbursement if your insurance offers out-of-network benefits.
-
I have chosen to operate as a private-pay practice rather than accepting insurance for several important reasons:
Confidentiality & Privacy – Insurance companies require a mental health diagnosis and may request access to your records in order to approve coverage. By not involving insurance, your therapy remains fully confidential, with no third-party oversight or interference in your treatment.
Flexibility & Individualized Care – Insurance companies often dictate the number of sessions allowed and the types of therapy they will cover, which may not always align with your needs. Private pay allows us to tailor therapy based on what is best for you, rather than what an insurance provider deems necessary.
No Unexpected Limitations or Denials – Insurance policies can change, and coverage is not always guaranteed. By not relying on insurance, there are no surprise denials of care or restrictions that could disrupt your progress in therapy.
Reduced Administrative Hassle – Insurance billing requires significant administrative work, which can take time away from client care. Operating as a private-pay practice allows me to focus my time and energy on providing the best possible support for my clients.
I understand that cost is an important consideration, and I am happy to provide a superbill upon request, which you may be able to submit to your insurance provider for possible out-of-network reimbursement. If you have questions about this or need help navigating your options, feel free to ask.
